Momo Migration-Tracing Stories Through Food

Momos aren’t just food. They carry stories of home, migration, and identity. What we often enjoy as a comfort snack is, in reality, a vessel of memory and resilience.
This project dives into the story of the Tibetan diaspora and how momos became more than just a dish — they became a way of surviving, preserving culture, and building new lives in India.
As part of the brand storytelling for Momoji, we built a showcase page and illustration series that celebrates this journey — not just as a culinary experience but as a living cultural narrative.
Through visual storytelling, we aimed to:
- Highlight the cultural history and migration behind momos
- Create a narrative bridge between brand and community
- Celebrate food as a form of resistance, identity, and belonging

This work sits at the intersection of branding, illustration, and cultural storytelling, showing how design can hold space for history and emotion.
